One of South London's best kept secrets, the Brixton Windmill is the capital's last working windmill. Built in 1816, it was known as Ashby's Mill for all of its working life. Having become derelict in in the 1930s, it was first restored in the 1960s. Since 2011, the windmill has been cared for by the Friends of Windmill Gardens who also operate the Brixton Windmill Centre (opened in 2020).

This exclusive design is a limited edition of 200 prints in total, across all print sizes.

We will be donating 10% of our profits from the sale of each print to the Friends of Windmill Gardens in order to support their great work in caring for this landmark.

Our high quality prints are created using archival 315gsm paper and inks to create an impressive print that will stand the test of time. It is available in a range of print sizes and framing options.

Framing

Take the hassle out of your print purchase by buying it ready-framed in one of our made-to-measure picture frames. Framed prints are dispatched just as quickly as unframed prints!

1. Pick a Frame

Pick from a choice of white, black or natural/unpainted frame colours. Our frames are made from wood from sustainable sources. The white and black frames have a smooth coating (no wood grain visible). We use glass for all frames delivered within the UK. Framed orders being shipped internationally will have acrylic glazing instead of glass.

2. We Frame Your Print

Our frames are custom-made for us in Cambridge before coming to our studio. We frame the artwork ourselves in our workshop to ensure the highest quality finished product.

3. Delivered Safe and Sound

We package framed prints very carefully using a system of cardboard boxes and padding before sending them out to you. In the unlikely event that your frame is damaged in transit, we'll replace it - no problem!

Printing Process

To produce our fine art giclée prints, we employ a specialist process which combines pigment inks with archival paper. This unique combination allows us to use vibrant colours which won't fade.

1. Ink

Tiny dots of Ultrachrome K3 ink are sprayed over the paper, colour-matching the on-screen design as closely as possible.

2. Paper

A super-thick, slightly off-white 315gsm soft textured archival paper is used to give a sense of depth to the artwork.

3. Authenticity

We hand emboss many of our prints, and our limited edition prints are also hand numbered and titled, adding authenticity to your purchase.

Delivery & Returns

Whether you're buying a framed print or a greetings card, we aim to dispatch all orders within 1 working day.

Standard UK Delivery

Prices start from £1.00 (see full price list), but currently free for all orders. The majority of orders are sent by Royal Mail 48, and should arrive 2-3 working days after dispatch.

Express UK Delivery

Prices start from £1.75 (see full price list). The majority of these orders are sent by Royal Mail 24, and should arrive 1-2 working days after dispatch.

International Delivery

Prices start from £6.95 (see full price list). Delivery times vary depending on destination, but are usually a maximum of 7-10 working days. We use acrylic glazing rather than glass for framed prints being sent internationally in order to minimise the risk of damage in transit.

We offer a no-quibble returns policy
If for any reason you wish to return your order, all you need to do is let us know within 14 days of receipt of the order. You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us. Once we have received your item, we will either issue a refund to you or exchange your purchase as requested.
