This Crystal Palace Dinosaurs print celebrates one of South London's most spectacular attractions; a collection of around thirty sculptures depicting dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. Situated among a series of lakes, islands and historic landscapes, the 150 year old creatures have amazed visitors young and old since their creation by Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins and Sir Richard Owen.
As scientific study of these creatures has developed over the years, some of the sculptures have become somewhat outdated in terms of accuracy. However, when you consider the limited understanding available at the time of their creation, it is amazing just how accurate some of the depictions are.
The creatures are arranged around the park on three islands, grouped according to their age in geological time. This order is roughly echoed in this limited edition Crystal Palace dinosaurs art print, which features over 30 hand-drawn illustrations.
The print would make the perfect gift for a dinosaur lover, SE19 resident, or anyone who has appreciated the awesome sculptures at some point in their life. Available unframed or ready-framed, this Crystal Palace Dinosaurs art print will look great on any wall or mantel. Each print has been hand embossed and numbered for authenticity.
