Balham Station, which includes both overground and underground (Northern Line) stations, is located in the Balham area of the Borough of Wandsworth. The Underground portion of the station, depicted in this print, was opened in 1926, and was designed by Charles Holden. During the Second World War, a bomb fell directly upon the crossroads under which the station sits, partially collapsing one of the tunnels and killing around 64 people.

This limited edition Giclée print by South London Prints celebrates the history and style of Balham Station, using a simple palette of bold colours. There are only 200 copies of this print available, and it can be bought with or without a frame.

Pick from a choice of white, black or natural/unpainted frame colours. Our frames are made from wood from sustainable sources. The white and black frames have a smooth coating (no wood grain visible).

Your print will be framed for you and quality-checked to ensure that it looks perfect before being sent out to you.

3. Delivered Safe and Sound

We package framed prints very carefully using a system of cardboard boxes and protective packaging before sending them out to you. In the unlikely event that your frame is damaged in transit, we'll replace it - no problem!

Printing Process

To produce our fine art giclée prints, we employ a specialist process which combines pigment inks with archival paper. This unique combination allows us to use vibrant colours which won't fade.

1. Ink

Tiny dots of ink are sprayed over the paper, colour-matching the on-screen design as closely as possible.

2. Paper

A thick, slightly off-white soft textured archival paper is used to give a sense of depth to the artwork.

3. Authenticity

We hand emboss many of our prints, and our limited edition prints are also hand numbered and titled, adding authenticity to your purchase.

Delivery & Returns

Whether you're buying a framed print or a greetings card, we aim to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible (1-3 days).

Standard UK Delivery

Prices start from £1.00 (see full price list), but currently free for all orders. The majority of orders are sent by Royal Mail 48, and should arrive 2-3 working days after dispatch.

Express UK Delivery

Prices start from £1.75 (see full price list). The majority of these orders are sent by Royal Mail 24, and should arrive 1-2 working days after dispatch.

International Delivery

Prices start from £6.95 (see full price list). Delivery times vary depending on destination, but are usually a maximum of 7-10 working days after dispatch. We use acrylic glazing for framed prints in order to minimise the risk of damage in transit.

If for any reason you wish to return your order, all you need to do is let us know within 14 days of receipt of the order. You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us. Once we have received your item, we will either issue a refund to you or exchange your purchase as requested.
