The Odeon Cinema on Balham Hill was originally opened in 1938, having been designed by George Coles. The cinema survived until the 1970s, before being reopened as the Liberty Cinema. Unfortunately, its use as a cinema ended towards the end of the 1970s, and in the mid 1980s, the cinema auditorium was demolished, and the front portion of the building was taken over by Majestic Wine.

The Balham Odeon cinema's fantastic frontage is depicted in this limited edition giclee print by South London Prints. An edition of 200, the print uses a simple colour palette to reflect the unique style of the building.
