Opened in 1926 as part of the City & South London Railway, Tooting Broadway Underground Station is a popular Northern Line station in South London. Interestingly, the station sits on the site of a bank, and it is said that the bank's old safe door is still present in the station's basement. Outside the station entrance is a statue of Edward VII, the First Emperor of India. The statue pre-dates the station by 15 years.
This limited edition print by South London Prints depicts Tooting Broadway Station and its statue of Edward VII in all its glory. Limited to just 200 copies, the print utilises a simple colour palette to make a striking impression.
