It seems hard to believe that we are over half way through 2016 already. It seems like yesterday that we were frantically packing orders in time for Christmas. Time flies when you're having fun, and fun is what we've had so far this summer...

Early summer is one of our favourite times of the year for events. The weather tends to be good, and they are also normally well attended. Some of the events we have attended this year, we have been taking part in for years.

The Dulwich Festival is an annual celebration of art in Dulwich, South London. We have always been involved in one way or another, and this year was no exception. Our studio is situated on a small cobbled street in the heart of Forest Hill. The street happens to be home to around 20 different artists and designers, who open their studio doors over two weekends every summer as part of the Dulwich Artists' Open House event. This year, it was our turn to provide the artwork for the wall at the top of the street, and we duly obliged by creating a new print of the street itself.

We had two great Open Studio weekends with our friends Pen & Gravy and Nancy Straughan. Second to Christmas, those two weekends are the busiest of the year for us, and this year we also attended the Goose Green Fair, which was great fun as always.

Whilst all this was happening, there was an even bigger story developing, and that story was the arrival of Place in Print's newest team member! Here she is on her first day of training at Herne Hill Market.
